Human Resources is responsible for recruitment and selection of employees as well as counseling them regarding compensation and benefits, grievances, employment rules, and other matters. In addition, this office advises the Board of Commissioners and Department Heads regarding personnel policies, rules, laws, and regulations.
Burleigh County has approximately 248 full and part-time employees (approximately 270 total employees when adding in the appointed Auxiliary board members).
Mission
The Human Resource office serves Burleigh County by focusing its efforts on the County's most valuable asset, its employees. Human resources will do this through recruitment, hiring, and retention of a diverse, qualified workforce. We will also provide Human Resource direction, technical assistance, training, equal employment opportunity and labor relations services to Burleigh County.
