To request an absentee ballot:
1: Please click here to get your application.
2: Print, sign, and mail or deliver the application to our office.
3: Receive, vote and return the ballot.

Please mail or deliver the application to our office at 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, ND 58501. You can also send the application via email to burleighauditor@nd.gov or fax it to 701-222-7528.

Upon receiving the completed application, we will send a ballot.

Please leave enough time for our office to receive the application, send you a ballot, and for us to receive it by the deadline.

Ballots must be postmarked by Monday, November 2, 2020 or returned to the County Auditor's Office via secure dropbox by 5:00pm on Monday, November 2, 2020. The secure dropbox is located at 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, ND.

2020 General Election Absentee Ballots

Absentee ballots have been mailed to voters who requested one for the 2020 General Election. Voters are strongly urged to contact the Burleigh County Auditor's Office at 701-222-6718 with any questions, comments or concerns.

Voters who received an absentee ballot may opt to vote in-person instead of voting absentee. Voters should disregard the absentee ballot received and will be issued a new ballot at their polling location.

Pursuant to North Dakota Century Code Section 16.1-01-12, it is unlawful for an individual to vote more than once in any election.
